Steven & Michael, November 2016, Kyle

When I first started working with Steven and Michael, I described their wedding theme as “dirt roads and high fashion, camping and cocktails, donkeys and DJ beats!” This was a high-end stylish wedding set in the middle of the Texas countryside. They had an unmatched aesthetic vision for their wedding, and they built everything from the ground up to make it happen. They poured concrete and stenciled gold paint for their succulent planters, built their own cocktail table lighting fixtures out of rolled paper, rented a helium tank to blow up a multitude of balloons, and strung up giant paper lanterns with music-synced color-changing Hue Lights to turn the venue into a disco dance floor at night. This was in many ways a venue built from the ground up as well, since The Plant is a large home but did not come equipped with a catering kitchen or enough bathrooms for their 150 guests. We brought in Austin's Elite Staffing to serve up pink champagne and Torchy’s Tacos. We secured shuttle transportation from downtown Austin and a high-end restroom trailer to ensure guests’ safety and comfort as they ventured off-road. The evening ended with sparklers and a champagne sabrage by Michael!
