Anna & Mac, March 2014, San Antonio

Mac Wiesman kicked off my wedding planning career when he asked my sister, Anna, to marry him, and she asked me to plan their big day. The two of them invited over 500 guests to their San Antonio wedding, so my first wedding also happened to be one of my biggest. The wedding was inspired by South Texas and Spanish missions, and featured mariachis greeting guests outside the cathedral, a groom’s cake covered in cotton, custom terra cotta and wrought iron décor, sangria swirl margaritas, and Anna and Mac’s quatrefoil W emblem across everything from the save the dates to the cookie and praline party favors. This wedding was one of my most unique challenges because I was also the maid of honor, so I not only had to plan everything, but had to communicate how to implement it without me. I hired my good friend Kelsey Davis to serve as event day coordinator, and now Kelsey works with me on every wedding I plan (Check out Kelsey’s wedding here).
